Futurama: Bender’s Big Score

I just finished watching the new Futurama movie – “Futurama: Bender’s Big Score” on DVD. We picked it up at the local movie rental store, and watched it after “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” (which was pretty funny).

If you’ve been a Futurama fan for as long as I and my friends have been, you’re going to love this movie. Like the Simpsons movie and the Stewie Griffin Story, there are plenty of references to things that happened throughout the show’s television run. Several time-traveling references tie together various episodes in what I like to call “Oooooooooh, yeah – I remember that. So that’s what happened!”

It’s hard to tell, watching the movie, if they planned it all out this way from the beginning, or if it’s just clever writing around existing storyline. Overall, I recommend this movie to anyone who’s ever enjoyed a good episode of Futurama. But I guess it’s probably more enjoyable if you’ve seen all the seasons.
