When I was a little kid, I thought playing pool was bad because they served alcohol and people drank at pool halls. I also knew that people gambled on pool and lost a lot of money, etc. My mom taught me one day at Waldo’s Beach how to play plain old 8-ball. It was later on some sort of church youth trip that I learned to play Cut-throat and 9-ball. Now, of course, that stigma has worn away and pool is very much a family-friendly game.
I last wrote about how we need to take a break from life. We need to slow down and take some time with our loved ones, and pool is a great way to have fun with your family! If you have kids, teach them to play! It’ll provide hours of entertainment for them, and they can play it even when you are busy working. If you and your family enjoy pool, you might consider some of the pool tables at Boston Tables for your home. They have a nice selection of tables that would look great in any game room or recreational room in your home. You can also purchase cues, balls, chalk and other accessories. A pool table would also look great if you were building a bar in your house for your friends to hang out at!
