God is so good. If you don’t believe in prayers or healing, then believe at least that my God is in control of things. He still would be good, and still would be in control of things even if I didn’t have good news to share.
But I do have good news to share! I was so scared for my dad, as you may have taken the time to have read already. The doctors said either it’s a mass, and it’s not cancerous, but may cause his liver to fail anyway, or it’s cancer.
Yesterday I got a phone call from my mom telling me that they thought maybe his jaundice was caused by his medications, and so they backed him off of everything but the essentials and found an alternative to his seizure meds, and he already seems less yellow. The doctors are giving us good signs and hope that he only has moderate cirrhosis, and that it’s treatable and we’ll get to keep him around for a while longer.
I don’t know if he did have a mass, and God healed it away, or if he never had one and the doctors just made a mistake and worried us for nothing, but either way, God was there to comfort me along with my friends and my amazing girl.
Before anyone reading decides this is a good time to leave a comment debating the existence of God, or whether or not He’s good and in control, I want you to know I’m not religious. I have a good theological background, my father was a Baptist minister, and I’m a believer in Jesus Christ and He is my Lord, but I have a relationship, not a religion.
that’s good news alright! 🙂 Praise God for the healing!
