So tonight, to celebrate our day off work for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, we made Black and Tans.
Unfortunately, we made them with Guinness and Rolling Rock beers, so even though we were careful, they ended up mixing anyway. It did make this neat coffee color though. For those of you who don’t understand the silliness: a Black and Tan is a dark beer and a pale ale poured into the same glass. They’re supposed to stay separate in the glass but still exist harmoniously. So I figured a Black and Tan is dark and light beers in perfect racial harmony.
